Administrators
Dean of Instruction- Rose King

Rosemary King is a Lambertville resident, professional educator, and mother of one beautiful daughter. She holds a BA from Rutgers University in Communication and Spanish and an M.Ed. from Framingham College. She is currently working on a doctorate in Literacy Education at Rutgers.

As an educator, she currently works as an adjunct professor at Rutgers University Graduate School of Education and as an educational consultant. Her learning-related passions are authentic education, reading, and writing. As a consultant, she helps teachers and schools implement progressive instructional practices in order to motivate students and increase their learning.

Previously, Rose worked for 12 years as a classroom teacher. She has taught elementary students in regular education, inclusion, and bilingual settings. As a teacher, she prides herself in creating learning situations where all students feel successful and learn things that are relevant to their lives.

Rose also has two decades of experience as a community organizer. She has worked on campaigns related to environmental policy and legislation, affordable education, community gardens, and peace.

In addition to education and community, Rose is interested in all things natural and making music.


Dean of Operations- Tony Calandrillo

Mr. Calandrillo is a professional educator with 16 years of experience in both the public school system beginning with a private special education for behaviorally challenged learners. He has been the Director of Curriculum and Instruction and the Director of Special Services simultaneously for two school systems; the Director of Curriculum and Instruction for two school systems and the Director of Special Services for two school systems. He owned a preschool for five years, developing an early childhood educational program where he was able to have most of his children in the program for four year olds develop into readers as well as a couple of gifted three year olds who learned to read.

 

Mr. Calandrillo has been noted by ASCD (formerly the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, a national educational leadership organization dedicated to advancing best practices and policies for the success of individual learners) for his work in multiage inclusion program development for early childhood education.

 

He has been a guest speaker at:

  • New York University, NYC - “Authentic Curriculum Design”
  • City College of New York, NYC – “Literacy in Special Education Early Childhood”
  • Rutgers University, NJ - "The Bryant Initiative, a Plan for Multiage Inclusion in Early Childhood Education"
  • Plato, Inc. International Conference, San Diego, Ca. – “Data-Driven Decision Making”
  • Association of Learning Consultants, Brielle, NJ – “A Multi-Sensory Approach to Learning”

Meeting Dates
Unless otherwise advertised, all meetings begin at 7:00pm and are held at the Hunterdon County Route 12 Complex, Library Meeting Room, 314 State Route 12, Building #3, Flemington, NJ 08822.  Meetings will be in the room next to the checkout desk when available, otherwise they will be at the tables on the lower level at the bottom of the stairs.
